Hi, I’m Jordyn — photographer, mother, and the heart behind Timeless Joy Photography. Also known as: mama, mom, mommy, mother bear, mother duck, or whatever other title my daughter decides to give me that day.
How I Got Here
My journey with photography became something much deeper after two small but powerful moments shifted my perspective. The first was during a postpartum program at The Womb Woodstock called Emerging Mothers. One day, Dr. Pamela Thornton, the Naturopath running the group, asked us a big question:“What’s your purpose?”I froze. I didn’t really have an answer. “Keeping my kids alive?” I said, half-joking.
But then she broke it down:
Purpose = Joy + Service + Using Your Gifts.
And just like that, it clicked: photography.
It’s always been my thing.
As a toddler, I begged to hold the camcorder on Christmas morning. I didn’t just love taking photos and videos — I instinctively knew what to look for.
The quiet details.
The natural light.
The unnoticed moments.
Like the time I was 12 and took a photo of kids’ feet dangling off a bench while the rest of the parents were trying to get them to smile for the camera.
The second pivotal moment came when I joined My Village • Paris Collective — a motherhood community founded by Danielle Simpson in Paris, Ontario. Right away, I felt seen and inspired by the women I met there. So many strong, passionate mothers who wear countless hats, but none more proudly than “mom.”
And one thing we all agreed on? Motherhood is better with a village.
Why I Do This
Now, I can finally answer that question about purpose.
My purpose is to use my gift — photography — to serve families and be part of your village.
I’m passionate about making photography more accessible to all moms, especially those without a village behind them.
Your motherhood deserves to be documented — not just for you, but for your children.
So they can look back and see how deeply they were loved. How fully they were held. How beautifully you showed up for them.
Because if you’re anything like me, you’re either always behind the camera or you forget to take the photo altogether.
The days blur. The little moments slip by. And suddenly, you’re wishing you had something to hold onto — something real, something timeless.
That’s where I come in.
Let me help you capture the joy in your everyday.
Let me make sure you are in the frame, too.
So years from now, when you look back, you don’t just see what life looked like —you remember how it felt.
Full of love. Full of laughter. And full of you.
I’m so glad you’re here.
Let’s make something beautiful together.
— Jordyn
